Does Windows XP support DirectX 11?
Windows XP does not support DirectX 11 as Windows XP will no longer receive updates this year. Certain versions of DirectX 11 will certainly work on Vista, but official DirectX 11 downloads currently require a certain minimum of Windows 7.

How do I check my version of DirectX?
To check if we have a typical version of DirectX on our PC using the DirectX diagnostic tool, select the start button and the dxdiag option in the search field, i.e. H when pressing on Enter. In the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, select the System tab and check the DirectX version number based on your system information.

How do I know if my system supports DirectX 12?
To find out if your system is compatible with DirectX 12, there is nothing easier: open the start menu and the dxdiag method.
