You may receive an error stating that Win XP Device Manager is empty. There are different ways to solve this problem, and we will discuss them a little later. The easiest way to open Device Manager in any version of Windows is to literally press Windows Key + R and type devmgmt. msc and press Enter. On Windows 10 or 8, you can also right-click in the lower left corner of the screen as needed and select in Device Manager.

If your Device Manager is completely empty or empty, the problem occurs for two main reasons: you have disabled a critical Windows solution, or your permissions in the exact registry for the Device Manager button are corrupted.

So you can fix this problem simply by doing this for the appropriate service window or by changing the permissions in the registry.

Special Method – Activate Windows Plug And Play

It looks like Windows Device Director Plug and Play needs to be enabled for it to work properly. You can activate it by clicking Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, then hovering over Services.

Scroll down and find Plug and Play service. Double-click it and make sure the Startup Type is set to Automatic and click Start if the site is not running.

Check if your device is empty in your manager. In this case, you can also activate other Windows services by clicking Start, Run next to MSCONFIG. Click the appropriate Services tab and select Activate All.

How do I fix Device Manager is blank?

Click Start ⇾ Run ⇾ type regedit.exe and / or click OK.Definitely find the following path in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SYSTEM CurrentControlSet Enum. Now right click on Enum and select Permissions.Add EVERYONE as user and give them permission.

Restart your computer. Hope you can see all hardware devices in Device Manager these days. If not, try Method 2!

A Couple Of Ways – Change Permissions In The Registry

Device Manager can have many reasons for not generating revenue due to key security issues in a particular registry. To fix this problem, click Start, Run and type REGEDT32. Click on the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE window or extension of that hive and navigate with the following key:

     HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SYSTEM CurrentControlSet Enum

Now right-click the enumeration and select Permissions. If the list in the “Group” or “Username” field is definitely empty, then this is the problem! It must containname, system and everyone.

Click the Add button, enter them all and click OK. Select the Allow next reading for everyone check box frequently. Now click “Add” again and login. Check the Allow box next to Read and full control over the system. It should look like this:

If you select the Allow As check box, you must select both Allow As check boxes. Also, remember to click all the Advanced buttons after adding site visitors and selecting Reset High Resolution Records for All Child Objects with Records Recorded Here That Apply to Small Objects.

    OK

Click, and when you get the warning, really click OK. Close Registry Manager and your computer. You should now see everything you need to know in Device Manager.

Method 2. Change The Permissions In The Registry

Another reason the Device Manager might be empty is because there are very important security issues found in the registry. To resolve these types of problems, click the Start button, click Run, and type REGEDT32. It is common to click on the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE window, or unfortunately expand the hive and navigate to the read key:

     HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SYSTEM CurrentControlSet Enum

Now right click on the Enum and select Permissions. If the list of leaders or group members is empty, your family knows that that’s the problem! It should have two names: System and Everyone.

Click the Add button and enter. Click OK. Select the Allow check box to allow them the next reading for everyone. Now click Add again with your finger and login. Check the box next to “Allow” to help you read and take full control of the system. It should look like this:
