Best Way To Remove Win32 Timestamp

    The timepec structure represents the simple time of the meeting or the elapsed time, accurate to the second. It is declared in time.h and has the following drives: time_t tv_sec. The number of grainy seconds that have elapsed since the epoch (for a specified simple calendar time) or relative to another starting point (for very elapsed time).

    What is tv_sec?

    tv_sec is the total number of seconds that have passed since the UNIX epoch, UTC January night, and tv_usec is, of course, the extra number of microseconds that have passed to the right of tv_sec. If you run help you should see the output. Every time you run the program, the actual output changes.

    Return Value

    timespec_get successfully sets the current time in the structure pointed to by the exact time_spec argument. All versions of my structure have two members, tv_sec and tv_nsec. The value of tv_sec is set to an integer number of seconds, and tv_nsec is set to integer fractions of a nanosecond, rounded up to the resolution of the system clock, which is simply the base from the specified epoch.

    These functions only support TIME_UTC as a common base value. This sets its time_spec value to the number of moments and nanoseconds since the epoch, midnight, January 1, 1970 UTC. In struct _timespec32 tv_sec is the value of __time32_t. In struct Tv_sec _timespec64 is the value of __time64_t. In the struct time specification, tv_sec is the time_t type, usually 32-bit or 64-bit, depending on whether the particular _USE_32BIT_TIME_T preprocessor macro is defined. The timespec_get function is a built-in function that calls _timespec32_get if or when _USE_32BIT_TIME_T is set; otherwise calls _timespec64_get.

    I ran diagnostics with Cygwin on Windows XP: on my machine, the accuracy associated with gettimeofday() is about 15 milliseconds (~1/64 of a second). Which is pretty rough. And but this is the granularity:

    * clock(void) clock_t (CLOCKS_PER_SEC divisor)* clock_t times (struct tms *) (separator sysconf(_SC_CLK_TCK))

    Also, clock_getres(CLOCK_REALTIME,…) returns 14ms, so clock_gettime() probably won’t. Both CLOCK_MONOTONIC and CLOCK_PROCESS_CPUTIME_ID should never work.

    Other options for Windows might be RDTSC; see Wikipedia article. And HPET, which is not in Windows XP.

    Also note that clock() on Linux is the process time, while on Windows it is the wall time.

    So, some test code, both for standard Unix and CYGWIN for code running on Windows, with an accuracy of about 50 microseconds (on my machine). The return value is in minutes and represents the number of moments since the function was last called. (Looking back I figured it might have been in the answer I gavea year ago).

    Win32 Application – Undefined Time ‘timespec’ Structure With VS 2013

    When using Visual Studio 2013, if you only reference the headers mentioned in the document (wimlib.h, wimlib_tchar.h) and create an otherwise clean project, you will get the following errors:

    Error 1. Error C2079: “wimlib_dir_entry::creation_time” usingSpecifies an undefined structure “timespec” wimlib.h
    Error 2 c2079 Error “wimlib_dir_entry::last_write_time”: Undefined structure “timespec” wimlib.h

    1. File > New Visual Project > C++ > Win32 > Win32 Console Application
    2. Leave the default settings for the Win32 Application Wizard
    3. Copy wimlib.h and then wimlib_tchar.h from wimlib-1.10.0sourceinclude to your working directory.
    4. Project > Add Existing Item… > Select files wimlib.h and wimlib_tchar.h
    5. Add #include “wimlib.To h” at the top most commonly associated with your project’s main CPP statement (e.g. ConsoleApplication#.cpp)
    6. Build > Build Solution

    The same permission applies to example source types such as Capturewim.c. I usually tried to resolve and post the results, unfortunately this seems to be due to temporal resolution. And posix the two problems are related and I’m not an expert.
