  • The Package Manager is probably the most useful tool for Linux users. You can install, update and remove almost all programs / packages from a Linux system with just one command. However, there are sometimes days when you need a detailed fix to figure out which package to install or update, and which guide to block automatic expansion.

Why should you make this situation? Well, sometimes you find out that there is an updated version of the stroller backpack. You don’t want the package to update it the next time you run sudo yum upgrade . And it is almost certainly tedious to modify each service pack individually.

In this tutorial, we clearly explain how to forgetOokok certain packages during installation or update and which method to use to prevent the installation of certain versions of mailing lists or kernels.

Note. After a few seconds, it’s easy to forget about the solutions you had in your hands, even if the error-free versions tended to fail. Therefore, be careful if you think that storing packages for an extended period of time can lead to security problems.

Here we will discuss twelve methods. The yum (Yellow dog Updater, Modified) package manager can be used by all of these methods.

  • You need a server running CentOS 7.
  • You don’t need a sensible sudo user to run commands.

If you have a package eg. For example, if you want to install, upgrade or uninstall it as nginx , add the following line to the end of the file.
