If you’re unable to open Quicken to get Windows after a newer version of the product, there may be an installation issue preventing Quicken from opening.

Before We Start
Quicken is not designed to be accessed through a network or a drive you use (such as OneDrive or Google Drive). While you can save information files online, it’s best to open or run Quicken on a network other than your own. Make sure Quicken is installed on your computer’s hard drive.
Step 1: Restart Your New Computer.

Step 2. Try Preinstall The Patch.
A list of fixes can be found here. your Select a Quicken plan, year, download and select a patch to upgrade.
If the la installation part does not solve the problem, go to step 3.
Step 3.Try Opening Quicken Without The Data File.
Why does my Quicken keep crashing?
The antivirus and/or software on your system may stop working properly. You probably need to disable or update your settings to enable Quicken as a secure program. If your website doesn’t know how to override these settings, contact your antivirus/firewall vendor.
- To do this, hold down the Ctrl + Shift key on your keyboard and double-click the Accelerate icon.
- Note: You may need to keep holding down the Ctrl key. + shift until you accelerate to full open with a blank screen.
- In this case, there may be a problem with a document whose data is preventing Quicken from opening correctly. Follow these steps to restore a backup file of any type.
- Then check the restored database by opening File.>Verify restore file and file.
- Confirm the file label and click OK.
If Quicken does not open without the required data file, skip to step 4.
A Few Temporary Steps: Turn Off The Antivirus, Then The Firewall.
An antivirus firewall and/or your may configurationprevent quicken from working properly. You must be disabled or update your settings to enable Quicken as a secure program.

Step 5: Uninstall And Reinstall Quicken
- Follow the instructions in this FAQ: How do I uninstall Quicken for Windows?
- Before reinstalling Quicken make sure your antivirus and data plan are disabled.
- Reinstall Quicken.
- Re-enable your antivirus/firewall.
If The Problem Persists
If you still cannot open the program after these steps, contact Quicken Support.
How to launch Quicken?
Click on our start button and you are looking for Quicken.clicked youHold down the Ctrl key and click the Quicken icon here. De (Make sure you keep holding down the Ctrl key until Quicken Full starts up.) If Quicken opens, there may be a very serious problem with the data file that is preventing Quicken from opening properly.
Since it always works, every time I click on a certain tab and properties section, it crashes faster asking for a bug report. I positively reported the bug about 3 times already without feedback between the support team. This should be checked and corrected.leniya.

Too much s suggesting you try check and/or check the file on the hard drive. However, I recommend that everyone save a backup of the file before doing the following.
- Confirm restore and file…
- Confirm file
- Click OK
- Close data log< >
- Close br Quicken (wait at least 5 seconds)
- Reopen Quicken and see if the problem persists.

- Hold the Ctrl key SHIFT and click Check and Repair File…

- Click OK
- Close log
- Close data acceleration (leave it closed for 5 seconds)
- Quicken again and see if the problem persists.
