The Event 3036 error is related to the Windows Search service, more specifically the Windows indexing feature. The “csc” in the extra info event means “client side caching” and is actually run when offline file indexing is enabled.

This is usually what has been confusing me for about 2 weeks now. And the World Wide Web is full of similar problems. You are probably cured of your bondage, as am I. Let me describe a scenario in which you experience some or all of the following problems:

    1. Terminal Server Environment
    2. Windows Search never starts or always saves items and keeps changing
    3. View Event ID 3036 in the Object Viewer

    Source: search
Content Source: Cannot access (e.g. mapi://S-1-5-21-652277433-1968782461-551167323-1146/)
    Details: (HRESULT 0x80004005) (empty) (0x80004005)
    Context: application, SystemIndex directory

4.Outlook search does not find items
    5. Outlook search shows indexing still happening here

    1. SYSTEM is not the owner, including %systemdrive%programdatamicrosoftsearch (or your search database partition, including subfolders).
    2. You have moved these Outlook OST files from their default location to %appdata%localmicrosoftoutlook
    3. Index a sufficiently large number of files from .

My key towhich I have not seen anywhere else on the Internet:

    1. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows SearchGatherWindowsSystemIndexStartPages
2.Export this key (here just in case)
    3. Remove all subkeys except “0” which should be “URL-C:ProgramDataMicrosoftWindowsStart Menu”
    4. Open the indexing options and remove the rating marks from all folders
    5. Completely remove the main indexing service (add/remove features/roles), restart your computer and enable the checklist again – you should see about 200 items listed (depending on the size of your new startup folder – this should be selected). the only folder that is now intelligently indexed).
    6. Select all the folders you visit – be sure to check the specific “Users” folder as %appdata% is enabled and then it might contain a bunch of useless related files like history://etc.

You immediately have full control over the indexed parts. Errors will also be removed from the trade log

    I keep getting event errors:
    date: 01.01.2020 11:40:20
    Type: warning
    Event: 3036
    Source: Microsoft-Windows-Search

The scan can indeed be completed with a link to the content .

    Context: Windows application, SystemIndex directory

    (HRESULT: 0x80004005) (0x80004005)

So I excluded OneNote from discovery and rebuilt the index. I got a lot of similar error messages:
    Date: 01/01/2020 11:21:43
    Type: Error
    Event: 1019
    Source: Microsoft-Windows-Search

The Windows Search service failed to process the list of included and excluded locations with this error <30, 0x80004005, "file:///C:[0937fb60-5914-46fc-900d-e1525df9afd1]ProgramData MicrosoftWindows Start Menu" >.

Being a newly created index, I have decided several times to include OneNote. Then I got an error message identical to the main message.

The error message appeared again over a week ago. After checking the firewood error, I found the following:
    Date: 12.21.2019 12:18:58
    Type: Error
    Event: 7042
    Source: Microsoft-Windows-Search

The Windows Search service has stopped because the problem with the indexer can be described as follows: directory is corrupted.

The content index directory is corrupted. (0xc0041801)

    Date: 0xc0041801 12/21/2019 12:19:00 pm
    Type: Error
    Event: 3029
    Source: Microsoft-Windows-Search
