    You should check these troubleshooting methods when Copyfile Error 2 appears on your computer.

    I need to create an application that will find all .txt programs in a directory and immediately copy them in .copytxt format to the directory. The program returns any CopyFile error code 2 from the function. I really don’t know where the real problem is. I tried to mention: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa365522(v=vs.85).aspx

    #include "stdafx.h"#include "windows.h"#define SOURCE_PATH _T(R"(C:UsersXXXXXDocuments4.semesterPB173Ukol1text)")int _tmain(int argc, _TCHAR*argv[])WIN32_FIND_DATA findHandle;BOOL findData;KNOB fDone = FALSE;TCHAR old path[MAX_PATH] ;new path TCHAR[MAX_PATH];DWORD attributes;_tcscpy_s(oldPath, _T("?)"));_tcscpy_s (old path, SOURCE_PATH);_tcscat_s(old path, _T("*.txt"));_tprintf(_T("%sn"), old way);findHandle FindFirstFile (old path, matches &findData);if (findHandle != INVALID_HANDLE_VALUE)    _tprintf(_T("The first file found is indeed %sn"), findData.cFileName);    although (!fDone)            _tcscpy_s(new path, _t("?)"));       _tcscpy_s (new path, SOURCE_PATH);        TSIM*pChar;        TCHAR* savePtr;        pChar = _tcstok_s(findData.cFileName, _T("."), &savePtr);        _tcscat_s(new path, pChar);        _tcscat_s(new path, _T(".copytxt"));        _tprintf(_T("%sn"), new path);        //StringCchPrintf(newPath, sizeof(newPath) per sizeof(newPath[0]), TEXT("%s%s"), oldPath, findData.cFileName);        in the case when (CopyFile(findData.cFileName, newPath, FALSE))                    attrs equals GetFileAttributes(findData.cFileName);            if (attrs == INVALID_FILE_ATTRIBUTES) break;           SetFileAttributes(new path, attributes);            _tprintf(_T("File %s copied successfully.n"), findData.cFileName);                different                    _tprintf(_T("Unable to replicate file %s.n"), findData.cFileName);            _tprintf(_T("%dn"), GetLastError());            Pause;                if (!FindNextFile(findHandle, &findData))                    like (GetLastError() == ERROR_NO_MORE_FILES)                            _tprintf(_T("All *.txt files copied.n"));                fact = TRUE;                        different                            _tprintf(_T("File not found later.n"));                Pause;                            FindClose(findHandle);different   _tprintf(TEXT("Error FindFirstFile (%d)n"), GetLastError());returns 0;

    The files themselves are usually located there, I am the administrator of the very file server from which (and to which) it is synchronized, and the admin panel has full access.

    It is not hidden or read-only. If I choose to skip this PC and another PC where I get the same error, the sync ends with many of these exceptions.

    Have you tried copying files using Windows Explorer and see if it works?Zenju

    As a workaround, if you need to copy all my files much more often, yes. I copied them from a nice full backup that BackupAssist created with interest in a NAS folder where I absolutely need to store them for the most important “synced” backups. Then I started another connection, the errors disappeared.

    I’m afraid this incredible thing will continue. Do the owners know what could be wrong, what could be tried? I transfer other files in the same folders All without problems thanks to the same permissions.

    I want FFS to be the solution to keeping the organization in sync all the time, but if the file problem persists it will take time.

    If you run into this problem on your next try (and you might be able to confirm externally, such as through Windows Explorer, that this is indeed an unusual error, and not the original file or the direct file, which is usually missing), start the process monitor (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896645.aspx) trace, retry the operation and wait for it to fail, stop the trace, or save the PML file for email analysis.
