Unified Architecture Preservation (UMA) is a concept in which the memory of a device is shared between the CPU and GPU. While this reduces costs, it also reduces device performance by using up a significant portion of the memory for the photo processor.
Intel Dynamic Video Memory Technology (DVMT) expands on this concept by giving the system the ability to dynamically allocate resources based on system requirements at any time. The key idea behind DVMT is to improve the efficiency of the memory allocated to a device or GPU.
This BIOS feature is indeed used in conjunction with the BIOS FIXED Memory Size feature to use the operating mode also in relation to the maximum amount of graphics memory that can be allocated to on-boardny graphics processor.
When FIXED Memory Size is set to 0MB and a specific BIOS function is set to 32MB, up to 32MB of System Minds graphics are allocated as memory in DVMT mode.
What is IGD Dvmt memory?
This is where the IGD DVMT BIOS memory function comes in. This allows you to currently set the maximum amount of system memory that can be allocated the most as Graphics Secure Digital, regardless of DVMT operating functions. When configured, 32MB to 32MB of system memory can be used as graphics memory.
If the FIXED Memory Size is set to 0MB and until this BIOS function is set to 64 to MB, 64 to MB of protected digital memory is allocated as graphics memory in DVMT mode.
If FIXED memory is set to 0MB and this important BIOS feature is set to 128MB, the shift to 128MB is just memory allocated as graphics memory in DVMT mode.
